How to Certify



The steps for producing certified forage and mulch include:
  1. Submit an application for membership to MCIA (if not already a member).
  2. Apply for field inspection stating the location of the field and expected harvest date.
  3. MCIA shall inspect the field and intended storage site to determine conformance to standards for freedom from noxious and undesirable weeds.
  4. Harvest eligible crop and submit a tag request for the bales harvested.
  5. Certification labels are issued by MCIA for eligible bales.
  6. Attach a certification label to each bale prior to delivery.
